Boyd, Powers & Williamson is expanding its complex litigation and appellate capabilities with the opening of its Fort Worth office led by veteran litigator and appellate attorney Scott Lindsey. 

Mr. Lindsey has a well-earned reputation as a talented and insightful appellate strategist and litigator. His litigation experience includes complex commercial disputes, serious personal injury, and trustee and probate litigation. A former senior staff attorney for Justice Anne Gardner of the Second Court of Appeals, he has played strategic roles as appellate counsel in multimillion-dollar litigation. Most recently, he was named among Tarrant County’s Top Attorneys in civil law and litigation by Fort Worth Magazine. 

While Boyd, Powers & Williamson is growing its physical footprint, the firm’s team of trial lawyers already has a national reputation for its sophisticated and results-oriented approach to complex litigation involving fraud, intellectual property, securities, business and personal injury. A $20.2 million verdict in a trademark and trade secret suit on behalf of telecom company XIP LLC was recognized as the fourth largest jury verdict in Texas in 2019, while an earlier $98 million fraud verdict against BBVA Compass Bank was inducted in the VerdictSearch Hall of Fame last year.
