Based in the Decatur office, founder partner Derrick Boyd has been named to the Super Lawyers list 16 consecutive years, going back to 2009. His practice areas are Civil Litigation: Plaintiff, Intellectual Property Litigation, Business Litigation, and Securities Litigation. Mr. Boyd is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in civil trial law.
Founding partner Alan Powers, who was also selected to the 2025 Texas Super Lawyers list, specializes in serious personal injury and product liability, serving as a dogged advocate for individuals’ safety and fair compensation for anyone injured due to someone’s carelessness or by a defective product.
Partner Scott Lindsey, who is based in BPW’s Fort Worth office, was selected to the Super Lawyers list for the sixth consecutive year. His practice areas are Appellate, Civil Litigation: Plaintiff, Family Law, Personal Injury – General: Plaintiff. Mr. Lindsey, who recently served as president of the Tarrant County Bar Association, is board certified in civil appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Texas Bar Association.
Marcus Mungioli, who is also based in the Fort Worth office, makes the Super Lawyers list for the second year in a row. He was named to the Rising Star list from 2005-2008 and 2010-2011. His practice areas are Civil and Business Litigation. Mr. Mungioli represents corporate and individual clients in federal and state courts, both at trial and on appeal.
